Presidential election

Election of the President of Iceland takes place with one round of balloting. Several methods for electing a president are discussed in Democracy with Sequential Choice and Fund Voting. Attention is drawn on observations in the article Speculations on the Icelandic presidential election of 1996 at the end of the article No need to hold elections in two rounds and in the last paragraph of the article The single transferable vote (Hare’s method).
