Research and advice on methods of voting and election

If no candidate obtains a majority of the votes for the vice-chancellor of the University of Iceland (president), the election is held a second time to choose between the two who got the most votes in the first round.

This is discussed in Democracy with Sequential Choice and Fund Voting (see article No need to hold elections in two rounds) with an example of the second vote between two candidates whom the majority least favours.
